The Way Out Is The Way In…

I’ve admired this statement, "The way out is the way in." It always sounded good to me. When I finally understood it, I knew I had to teach it to anyone who was interested.
What does it mean? Ask yourself the following:
Are you constantly seeking the approval of others, and without it, suffer?
Can you make a decision based on how you feel? Or, do you HAVE to have the opinion of others before you can decide?
Do you obsess about what "everyone" will think of you?
Does your happiness depend upon external things and people around you?
Freedom from these things comes when you look inside yourself, and YOUR ideas/thoughts/feelings are what matters. When the voice inside is louder than the chorus of people around you, you’ve got it! Do not confuse this with selfishness. What I am describing is self love, and we all could use a few more spoonfuls of that.
Here is your RX for the next week…take at least 15 minutes of absolute quiet time in the early morning, before anyone in your house gets up, and get to know yourself better. You’ll be surprised and amused at what yourself will tell you. Make your first conversation of the day be with yourself!

Rock On!
